Spiritual Life News: Celebrating God's Faithfulness

Berean Academy has been blessed with wonderful chapel speakers each week which include staff, local pastors, community members, and STUDENTS! Our Worship Team chapels allow optimal student involvement, and this year, we have had the opportunity to be in awe of God through multiple testimonies shared by our seniors. Josh Cryer, Randall Thiessen, and Aiden Fasnacht have all shared how God has worked and is still working in their lives, giving God the glory for his faithfulness and grace as they are in the process of being transformed. These are always very encouraging stories to hear, and the students appear to be especially engaged to hear from their peers.

Recently, we sent 118 of our high school students out to 12 local non-profit ministries in the surrounding community and put in around 480 hours of work. Our students were involved in deep cleaning and organizing, painting, clerical work, playing bingo with the elderly, and putting on three different chapel services. The JH wrote encouraging notes to family, friends, teachers, pastors, missionaries, etc. Our elementary school participated in a cereal box drive, bringing in 265 boxes to distribute to local food pantries. God blessed us with an awesome school-wide Service Day where we were able to practice what we preach, putting love into action where real needs could be met.

On February 24 to 26, we look forward to having alumnus James McClenahan speak at our Missions Emphasis Week student conference. He will share about his time on the mission field in China and how he is currently serving at his church in Nebraska, where God has brought the mission field to him. We will also plan on hearing multiple reports from our students who served on missions trips during this past summer.
