Head of School Year-End Message of Appreciation

Merry Christmas! The holiday season at Berean Academy is a very busy time of year. From the wrapping up of Fall sports programs to the start of Winter sports, Robotics and Scholars Bowl tournaments, along with the many music programs, it seems something is always happening here. My wife commented that she feels Berean has more extra-curricular activities than any other school with which we have been associated. I think she might be correct.

As we prepare to close out the first semester of the school year, we are busy preparing for the next one. In January, we will start the enrollment process for returning students and new families for the 2025-26 school year. We anticipate a potential enrollment increase of 20 students next year. Our annual High School Play is scheduled for March 10-11th this year due to the challenge of finding someone to direct the play in the fall. We are pleased that God has provided an experienced drama instructor, Sarah Pressnell, to head this up. Jeff Evans, who led it last year, will assist her. Planning for the annual Praise & Celebration Banquet is well underway. The event will be held on April 11.

I continue to be impressed with the depth of commitment to Christian education at Berean Academy. Multi-generational families have remained loyal to the school and its mission, vision, and core values over the years. The legacy of the school is very impressive.

As you and your family prepare to celebrate Christmas this year, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to each of you for your support of the school. Berean Academy’s ministry is a three-way partnership between the home, school, and local church. The gifts of your time, talent, and treasure over the years have made it possible for the school to continue to fulfill its calling from God to prepare and equip the next generation of Christ-followers. May the blessings of the Lord our God be yours throughout the coming New Year!
