A representative from the Mid-Kansas Bible Science Fellowship came to Berean Academy to host our first Creation Museum by setting up hundreds of artifacts from three different Christian science museums in Kansas. Our K-12th grade students, staff, and community members had the opportunity to see first-hand evidence debunking the theory of evolution. The students' excitement grew as they walked around and even sparked some conversations at home.
Mr. Voth also discussed dinosaurs with our 7-12th grade students in chapel. We looked at passages that mentioned the leviathan, behemoth, and dragon and guessed what dinosaurs we knew of that could fit those descriptions. He then talked about how dinosaurs seemed to have disappeared due to the flood and being hunted. He presented evidence of dinosaurs and humans overlapping (contrary to the evolutionary timeline) through artifacts found in pictographs, tapestries, pottery, carvings, footprints, paintings, and historical writings. And why does this all matter? The Bible includes accurate, proven information on dinosaurs, so if it is a trustworthy source for this, we can trust it regarding what it tells us of Jesus, too. Also, the Bible and the fossil record stand against the evolution theory's flaws.
The Creation Museum was a hit with the elementary students! They were enamored with the fossils, gems, and bones on display. During their chapel, Mr. Voth also shared artifacts from dinosaur history and explained where the Bible describes dinosaur-type creatures. It's amazing what we can learn through history and studying the earth!
