This year’s Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy was successful, as seventeen of our high school students learned “Impact through Action” through three service projects totaling over 130 volunteer hours.
To culminate the Leader Academy program, students had to plan and execute an Impact Project. On Saturday, April 27, our Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy students partnered with the Silknitter family to host a fundraiser meal for Beretta Gaudern at Whitewater Community Church. Beretta is the 9-year-old daughter of Aaron & Jennette (Silknitter) Gaudern and little sister to Berean student Levi. She was diagnosed with cancer earlier this school year. They served 488 meals to community members and helped the family raise over $30,000 to cover the cost of cancer treatments for Beretta! The students were excited to see the Lord’s provision and to be an encouragement to the family with this fundraiser.
