The HOA League was very competitive again for high school basketball, providing many exciting games. Senior Henry Giger did a great job leading our students and fans in strong, loud, and enthusiastic support at home and away games! The boys’ team fought many games down to the wire through their tough defense and fighting spirit. A highlight for them was winning the Burrton pre-season tournament and placing 2nd at the Marion Invitational tournament. The girls’ team had another great season, earning second in the HOA League and making it to the Sub-State championship game! They also placed 2nd at the Marion Invitational tournament. Many thanks to our coaches for their dedication to our players and program through a long stretch of cold winter months!
There are two developments that will be brand new for our school next year! The historically long-standing Eli J. Walter Girls' Basketball tournament will now be a combined boys and girls basketball tournament hosted by Berean Academy. Get ready for a busy campus and an exciting week of basketball next January! Mr. Hans Nickel will also be taking the role of Athletic Director for the 2024-25 school year. He brings extensive expertise and experience to the role. He looks forward to continuing our mission of bringing the relevance of Jesus and the gospel into all of our athletics and activities. We want to thank Josh Brinkerhoff for his years of service as Athletic Director and are excited for his transition to Spiritual Life Director next year!
