On Friday, September, the Berean 5th-grade students welcomed their grandparents to enjoy a special time together. The students shared a reader's theatre and songs that they eagerly prepared in advance for their grandparents to enjoy.
Many grandparents came with toys or treasures from their younger years to share with the students. They gathered in small groups around their grandparents to hear all about the items they brought in to share. Afterward, they enjoyed a time of Q&A with their grandparents during their cookie reception before leaving to enjoy the rest of the afternoon together.
Thank you, Mrs. Wiebe, for planning a wonderful opportunity for grandparents to share and connect with their grandchildren. Thanks to Ruth Boettcher for diligently preparing and conducting the music for this special day. And thank you, parents, for providing items for the reception and to those who came to set up, serve, and clean up. It was a blessed day for all!
